Being Greek @ NSU

You are about to enter the most exciting and challenging years of your life.  As you begin your academic career at Northwestern State, we hope that you take advantage of the wide range of opportunities available outside the classroom to enhance your college experience.  Northwestern State has over 100 student organizations and clubs to participate in and each will contribute to your development as a student.  However, none are quite as exciting and rewarding as becoming a member of a fraternity or sorority.

Greek organizations have been an integral part of the campus community since the 1920's.  For more than 80 years, fraternities and sororities have provided excellent opportunities for thousands of young men and women to find a home away from home, develop leadership skills, enhance academics, serve the campus and community and create a foundation for the future.  For many students, joining a fraternity or sorority is often the catalyst that leads to active participation on campus.... Northwestern State Greeks are student leaders, scholars and athletes.

Your years here at Northwestern State will include many exciting learning experiences, but maybe none so complete, well-rounded and long remembered as that of being a member of a fraternity and sorority.  We encourage you to take advantage of everything that Northwestern State has to offer and we hope that you find yourself "Going Greek!"
